Hanging Tomato Planters

We’ve reviewed tomato planters for hanging upside down tomatoes. But those hanging planters tend to take up a lot of space, especially vertically. If you don’t have that kind of room or that’s too much to climb around here is an idea for small patio or balcony hanging planter.

Here is a simple hanging basket that includes not only the basket, but the seeds to start you basket, and the wire to hang it as well. A simple low cost solution that doesn’t take as much space as the Topsy Turvy Upside Down Tomato Planter, it’s perfect for the patio or your apartment balcony. Of course, the tomatoes you can grow in a planter this size are not going to win any prizes, but variants of Patio Tomatoes will work well, and home grown always beats the tomatoes from the store.

The seeds don’t come, as the way these are used is often a whole tomato plant is transplanted. Start your seeds outside the planter and then transplant them.
